Outline

NB Regulations state that at least one member of all staff recruitment panels in schools MUST be trained

Attendance on this course will enable school staff and governors to:
Increase their understanding of the issues in relation to safer recruitment and practices in school which contribute to pupil safety
Comply with statutory regulations for school staff and governors involved in safer recruitment
Identify the key features of safer recruitment and ensure that school practices are correct
Be equipped to review school recruitment policies and practices

This is a statutory accredited course which includes an assessment

Description

An understanding and raised awareness of:
  • offender behaviour
  • how to embed safe recruitment at every stage of the process, from job advert to appointment and beyond
  • what schools can do to create a safeguarding culture
  • the role of governors in this process
