Primary PE Network

Please note this will be a virtual network.

Outline

To share up to date information with PE professional colleagues regarding the national guidance regarding PE and Primary Sports Premium

Description

We will share the latest Health and Safety guidance relating to specific activities but also the specifics regarding the re-opening of schools and the potential impact regarding Physical Education lessons whilst social distancing measures are in place.

The summer term and limited school access gives the opportunity for PE co-ordinators to review their Sports Premium targets and impact and make the necessary adjustments for September.
July is the statutory deadline for up-to -date information on school websites so we will be able to discuss the implications of school closures on the impact statements and swimming statistics.

Outcomes

For colleagues to have a wider understanding of the points that will need to be considered to ensure safe practice in Physical Education lessons when schools re-open.

A broad understanding of a purposeful curriculum review and the broader implications of the subject curriculum in September regarding NQT’s who have had a curtailed training year, staff well-being and pupil well-being post lockdown
