Outline

To familiarise you with any changes to the KS1 statutory arrangements
To re-examine the TAFs and the implications for these in terms of assessment and moderation
To focus on the practical assessment of reading, standardisation and accuracy of levelling
To unpick what evidence might look like in reading and to consider the exemplification materials
To consider the role of professional dialogue when moderating

Description

Information relating to 2020 KS1 SAT arrangements
An opportunity to focus on practical assessment in reading and the use of the TAFs to assess this
To gain a greater understanding of the changes in reading
To understand further the process of moderation and how this supports judgements
Opportunities to network and discuss teacher assessments in reading with colleagues

Outcomes

To be confident in administering and support children in the Reading SAT
To be confident in the TAF statements, the ways of evidencing this and the role of the professional dialogue in this.

Booking Information

This course is to be charged at a significantly reduced rate as we would like to encourage at least one member of staff from all schools to attend training. ARA states “ensure test administrators are appropriately trained and administer the tests according to the published guidance”
